I heard this happened to someone in 07 too. Which is why i chose to wait to vaccinate until they were older but 9 years old? That is just too sad =(

This is sad, but I don't think people should be afraid of the flu shot. I think that this poor kid had a disease in her already and the flu shot triggered it into action. It's terrible, I feel bad for her and her family.

This is absolutely terrible but it's also very rare and anything you put in your body can have devastating side effects. With that being said, we don't get the flu shot in my home. I rarely get the flu, and nya usually only gets it once a year. Neither of us are old/young enough to die from it so I'd rather just skip the risks and deal with shittiness for a few days a year
