There are ancient sites ALL around us, most people don't even know that they exist.  One of the things that I love most is learning about ancient civilizations.  If you are interested in learning about ancient/archaeological sites near your home just leave the name of your city, state and country in the comments below and I will go and research for you and see what I can find near you.  You will be amazed at what's virtually in your own back yard!
