You so should!
I cannot tell you how important good quality brushes are when applying makeup.
You can have the cheapest makeup in the world and still rock it if you have quality brushes.

It really is a pain in the ass sometimes!
Although my rule of thumb is that if you have at least similar colors to the tut you like then you can still bang out a good ass look.

And about the lip-liner.
If you have full lips like her than by all means do what she did but for those of us (me) with a not so pouty lip or those unfortunate souls who have thin lips, its always best to go around the line of your lips to present a much fuller lip.
My bottom lip is pretty full but my top lip is thin to medium.
So for my bottom i stay right inside my white line & my top lip i apply on the white line.
