| Bloggy Bishes Guidelines ♥ Please carefully read the guidelines and reply below to agree. HOW IT WORKS: • Each VIP member that has an active blog will be given their own message board in the Blog Directory. If you have multiple blogs, each one will have it's own board to keep it organized.
• If at anytime you deactivate or remove your blog, please inform me so I can free up space and delete your board from the forum. If you are taking a break from blogging, please let me know so that I can lock your board for the amount of time you need.
• Each blogger with their own board will have Moderator permissions. These permissions are your responsibility and are for your board ONLY! Please don't abuse them! Please also note that we do not delete posts. If you need something removed, message an Admin and we will archive it. We are able to see when posts are deleted in the Admin panel.
Your Moderator tools are as followed: - Locking & Unlocking threads - Moving threads - Merging & Splitting threads - Deleting (As stated above, we don't delete please!) - Sticking & Un-Sticking threads - Making threads an Announcement
NOTE: Having Moderator permissions on your blog board does not make you a Staff Member. It just means that you can moderate your board freely without having to ask a Staff member to do something for you.
• Please make the following threads on your blog and STICK them to the top of your board. This will keep it organized.
- One thread about YOUR blog with a description and the URL. Your blog name would make a great title for that thread. (This would be a great thread to get feedback on your overall blog too.)
- One thread with all of your social networking links so that everyone can follow you and reply letting you know that they followed. (Twitter, Facebook, Google Connect, Linky, Networked Blogs, and any others you use)
- One thread so that people can sign-up to get e-mail notifications when you update your blog. People can leave their e-mail addresses so that you can verify if needed.
(You are of course welcome to sticky or make announcements on important blog posts and/or giveaways if you want. When they are done, please return them to normal posts.)
• You may have one post for each Blog and/or Giveaway post you make. For example, if you make a blog post about 'Homemade Banana Bread', don't make a new post for it each day. It only needs one thread and you may bump it when needed.
• If you post about a Giveaway, please post a little description about it. Make sure the giveaway is done directly on YOUR blog. We don't want to have to go to outside links to fill out forms and tons of questions. Once your giveaway is done, please LOCK that thread so we know it's over.
• If you change blog URLs or get a new blog button, start a new thread on this board to let me know so I can update your information.
• FOLLOW FOR A FOLLOW - If someone follows you on your blog and all of the social networking sites, please be courteous and go to their board and follow back. Every follower counts and it's common courtesy.
• COMMENTS - Commenting is very important in the blogging world. Please take the time to read someones blog update and comment not only on the thread, but on their blog post too. Commenting on the thread only means you should let that person know you commented.
• SHARING BLOGS POSTS VIA SOCIAL NETWORKING - If you take the time read and comment on someones blog post then take that extra minute to share it on Twitter and/or Facebook. If you have the extra time too, it would be nice to give them a 'LIKE' or even a small comment on their social networking sites. This isn't mandatory, but if we all try to do this then we can really help each other out by getting more traffic to our blogs.
I'm going with the three strikes and you're out rule. Sometimes we get busy and it's easy to miss something or forget, but let's not make it a habit. Sometimes I bookmark things so I remember to come back to them, or leave them open in a new tab. If someone consistently fails to comply with these guidelines then we will remove your blog board.
In conclusion, and with the hopes that these guidelines have not scared you away, please have fun. Let's help each other have successful blogs, whether they're just for fun or not.
